Shore fishing (rod and reel angling) on Elmer’s Island is currently allowed.
Commercial and recreational fishing for crabs, shrimp and oysters is closed from Caminada Pass to Belle Pass, which includes all of Elmer’s Island and Fourchon Beach ¼ of a mile seaward from the Gulf side of the island.
