Right Guard... I think Hoko wins the battle early but I truly feel Brumfield or Boutte may eventially take over.

I think Washington is the first guy in for any position other than center and is in on goal-line packages.

Free safety... hold your belts... Jamal Adams
I think He receives the start and they bring Mills in the Nickel and rotations with Adams.

Edit - Admins... please transfer to the rant where it was intended to be posted! Thanks!

Hoko is in the drivers seat at RG

Safety's will be martin and Mills. Adams will play a lot in sub packages though.

There will be a deep rotation. We'll need it against Ole Miss Auburn ATM etc.

I would guess:

- Thompson at free safety. Of course, he needs to be healthy. But if so, I expect him to start (with Mills at strong safety).

- At RG, I know most expect it to be between the two redshirt seniors. But IMO:
--- if Pocic proves to be one of the best 5 O-Linemen (which I think he will)
--- if Porter is considered a "better" option than Fanaika and Alexander (which I think he will)
- I am predicting Pocic to move to RG and be our full-time starter there.

what do you think of Andy Dodd, he was a highly rated guard coming out of high school. But we havent heard anything of him since arriving at LSU?

I don't post much, so take anything I type with a huge grain of salt. I am no insider.

But I think Dodd will be a very good player for us. In fact, if Alexander and Hawkins both go to the NFL next season (as many fear), there are three guys that I have pencilled in as starters in 2015:
- Pocic
- Dodd
- Boutte
The other two spots would be up for grabs.

I think Andy Dodd is training for center. Next year should be Hawkins and Pocic at tackles and Dodd at center.

I think Hoko gets the RG spot this year. He'll be a run blocking machine!

We very easily could loose all starting 5 OL for next season but I'd love Hawkins to stay and move to LT.
2015 OL IMO
LT- Hawkins
LG- Boutte
C- Dodd
RG- ??
RT- Pocic

Jalen Mills will start at free safety all year long. Strong safety spot will be in flux the whole year, I expect to see Ronald Martin or Corey Thompson there to start and Rickey Jefferson there to finish. Jamal Adams will get in on some of the action in sub packages.

Right guard is Hoko Fanaika's to lose right now. I think he gets the start all year but that we'll see Garrett Brumfield getting a lot of time there spelling him.

dont underestimate Will Clap i think he can play any position on the line even tackle. Hes got the body frame for it and has good enough feet.

He redshirted last year, is now a RsFr...pretty natural you havent heard a lot about him.

Had a hurt sholder last year which didnt help his development.

He's getting some reps at center now with the reserves

I think Hawkins is gonna stay at right tackle and Pocic plays LT in 2015

Probably agree with both the guard spots, unless Alexander comes back in which case slot him in at LG and move Boutte to RG

Lazare said the opposite.

I don't think many folks on this board hold Lazare in very high esteem.
