Long story short, I got a Nokona first baseman's mitt for free today (retail about $350 ) that needs a little work before I can give it to my son.

I've never had to recondition a glove before because I never let one get in bad shape.

Are there any products you would recommend to get the job done? TIA.

Nakona gloves feel great and are excellent for a short time, but they wear out quick and don't keep well. The glove is probably not going to be able to be reconditioned

How old is this glove? How long has it been out of use?

Shaving cream.

ETA: sorry, that's to break in a glove, not recondition.
