I'm in the 11th spot. A guy in the 2 hole wants to trade his 2nd and 4th for my 11th pick.

This league is a little deeper than normal. The starting lineup is QB, RB, RB, Flex, Flex, WR, WR, TE.

He'll end up with picks 2, 11, 26, 50, 71, 74
My picks will end up 14, 23, 35, 38, 47, 59, 62.

i wouldnt you are already at a disadvantage with the 11 spot the only way to counter that is to have those close 1st and 2nds. waiting till 23 fricks that up

Unless you can guess on some rookies to shine, that seems like a horrible trade.

Nope... his 2nd is too low. If it's his 2nd and 3rd then I'd consider it.

I guess I'm was thinking in terms of it being like trading Jimmy Graham for Jordy Nelson/Antonio Brown type player at 23 and a Pierre Garçon/Shane Vereen/Gronkowski at 47.

I wouldn't do it. Gaining a 4th isn't worth moving back 12 spots.

You're basically trading:

Murray/A.J. Green (No trade)

For

L. Bell/ Antonio Brown/ Vereen (Trade)

Go with whichever of the sides you like better i guess.

ETA:
and idk if it's a PPR league, but if it is, Brown and Vereen most likely wont be there for you to grab in those spots. SO it actually look a little worse in PPR.

It's a PPR. I think I would draft someone like Jimmy Graham or Demaryius Thomas if they're available at 11.

If I trade it, I'll get Jordy Nelson & Pierre Garçon. I think I like the latter better since this league has an extra flex.

I could potentially go Dez, Jordy, Ellington, Garçon, Gronkowski

Without the trade it would look like Graham, Dez, Ellington, Garçon

Do it and report back after the draft. I'm curious to see how this would play out.

See that's the thing, I think your underselling DT and Graham. I'll be surprised if they're at 11. Not saying it's impossible, but the chances aren't likely. As well as Dez at 14. I think you're looking at A.J., Julio or Marshall at WR at 14 (not that there's really a drop off, so kinda moot)

But anyways, honestly go with what you feel is the right decision. I don't really think there's really a wrong outcome, just preference.

Appreciate it. Like I said, the thing that has me leaning is the extra flex. More depth could help a lot, and if Graham and Demaryius don't make it to 11, even more reason to trade.

I will be in a similar draft spot and I'm not sure I would do it. Now if you are really looking to make a trade, maybe counter with your 1st & 5th for his 2nd & 3rd.

This would leave you both with.

Him: 2, 11, 47, 50, 71, 74
You: 14, 23, 26, 35, 38, 59, 62

Having 5 top 40 players through the first 48 picks (4 rounds), should set you up pretty nicely at RB/WR.

If he doesn't go for it you could offer to swap spots in the 6th or just add to the deal your 7th for his 8th or something like that. I haven't really looked at how it could play out, so it still may not be a good idea.... But i do feel the deal I listed above favors you more than his offer, which is how it should be since he is the one wanting to trade up for two 1st round picks.

When is your draft? If you pull the trigger on something I'd love to know how it plays out for you/him.

I just told him I like it and he has already brokered a deal with someone else. I may just auction off my 11th pick live to see if I can get something similar
