Hannibal (movie)

This movie was a big let-down. I'm a big fan of Anthony Hopkins, SotL and the original Red Dragon and a huge fan of the current tv series but this movie left a lot to be desired. Little to no action until the end, very little of the "mind games" I love the Hannibal character for. And wtf was up with the gimpy burn victim? So lame.
The last 15 or so minutes were the only bright spot, Liota eating his own brains was the best part.
Anyone else have thoughts on this flick?

Yes, it wasn't very good. Not terrible but just over the top and paled compared to SotL. I liked Manhunter and Red Dragon too despite Norton's sleepwalking throughout it.

Ah, I meant Manhunter, not Red Dragon, in my OP.
Is Red Dragon a remake of Manhunter?

It's a dumb super villain movie, they butchered Hannibal's character.

Hannibal cutting off his own hand instead of Starling's was just dumb as hell and goes against his character so much.
