Border Patrol agent: How you doing, U.S. Border Patrol. How many people on board?

Travis Pope: Me.

BP agent: U.S. citizen?

Pope: Yeah, but does it really matter?

BP agent: Not anymore, unfortunately. Thank you.

I used to go white wing hunting down there years ago, it was pretty cool once you got away from the border, the federalis ruined that deal long before the cartels, couldn't pay me to do it now

The BP guys are normally pretty cool.

The Customs guys are always dickheads though.

Well that was easy.

Looks like it's time for me to make that one run to put me in perpetual OT baller status.

My brother and some of his friends did this one night to party from our ranch down there. Had a shotgun in the back of his car they had forgotten about. Pretty crazy 3 days.

that used to be a pretty sweet deal, we'd drive about 110 miles into the country near a town called San Francisco, each hunter was charged $5 for the land owner and $5 for the bird boy, per day, we'd hunt twice a day, and stay at this small hotel that had like a bunk house for all of us, about $10/night, good times

I came back from through at the Tijuana/San Diego crossing in a car with 4 other guys. They just asked, "American?"...

The driver said yeah and they waived us through. No ID check, and didn't even talk to anyone else in the car.

This was in 2003 or so...
