Wait, you don't know who our CBs are??

I agree, silly topic so far though.

Robinson and White are legit lockdown corners. The secondary in general should be improved, but a lot of that depends on if we can generate some kind of pass rush from the DL this year, which we really didn't do last year.

It should be understood that it's white and Robinson.

Let's hope we have a pair of safeties that will enable our secondary to be stingy.

I agree. I'll be anxious to see who wins the nickel job as we should be able to rotate at that position until someone stands out.

Not sure why you're laughing, dude has a point. Mills was completely exploited in that game.

It appeared that he thought it was someone else's fault.

Boy, that Chief guy sure is stupid. He should listen to BigEd LSU,

Chief knows things that you don't, BigEd. Maybe - just as an example - Robinson didn't know the calls well enough. Maybe he would have let receivers run free deep, thinking he had safety support when he didn't. During that Georgia game our safeties were struggling with their responsibilities. We had two excellent corners in Mills and White. Safety was our problem, along with the pass rush, not corner.

No. No he wasn't. There were two problems. First, a lack of pressure. Second, our safeties were confused. Our corners play a lot of man, but usually they are in zone. Know why? Because if you play man enough that the other team can predict it they will kill you.

When in zone the corner sometimes has strong safety support and sometimes not. When he doesn't he's vulnerable to outs and hooks. When he does, he'll jump those routes. When he's supposed to, but the safety blows the assignment, you might get a corner jumping the short route only to see the receiver running up the sideline with the corner behind him - "beat" to the casual fan (BigEdLSU, ALTiger). But the coach knows the safety was supposed to be there.

I'm never going to win this argument, because when Mills is picked in the third round (or higher) the mouth breathers will say it was because he switched positions. The real reason is that he's very good.

Agree to disagree. They used Robinson to lock down Evans.

Could have played him man only.

Chief isn't perfect. Much better at football than me though.
