I live in the grapevine area and am looking to go to something unique and tasty here near me.

I don't even mind driving to the Frisco area to get it.

Anyone have any recommendations on some local damn tasty food to try out?

Went to lunch at a place called Greek Cafe & Bakery

It was really good, and very much a hidden gem (hole in the wall)

Not all of these are holes in the wall places, but they are places that are a little less known than some of the flashier places. Since you're in Grapevine, you probably already know about Big Fish on Main Street. This might be a little mainstream but Uncle Buck' Steakhouse in Bass Pro has some unique items, like a couple of buffalo dishes, on the menu.

Moving towards Frisco, I really like the Fifth Street Cafe and also Bonnie Ruth's,especially for their pies.

Also in Frisco, have you been to Hutchins BBQ?

Finally, the holiest in the wall of all these is Waters Edge Cafe in far northwest Frisco/Little Elm.
