We have all seen it. Many of the seats in the stadium have gone from being filled with blood thirsty gladiatorial types to -sadly...soccer moms. I hear numerous complaints about how the stadium empties at half to how loud we regularly 'used to be'. I would think these are related. The question is....what can be done about it? The answer to me is in the upper decks. I would imagine many of the crazed Tiger fans that were instrumental in building our rep can't afford tix now. I get that to be a top tier program we have to keep up with everbody else and that takes a lot of money. I still say we can reduce the price of tickets up top. We can put most of the visitors up top in the end zone freeing up high dollar lower bowl seats. I would think that increased revenue from the lower bowl would help offset any loss on upper deck tix at a reduced rate. Screw these '"big house" librarian types that sit on their hands. I want the piss baloon types back in Tiger Stadium. Those Alphas ain't leaving to beat traffic and would surely bring the noise. We still are the best fans in big games, but I want other teams to truly hate playing here. Fire away.

Would rather have a great day, enjoy the game, leave when I need to and crush some soccer mom arse when i get home than give you my other ticket.

Just let readmission with the same tickets, so if someone's leaving the can give their ticket to someone that wants to go in for the 2nd half, simple as that

all they have to do is actually let students go to the game and we'd solve all our noise/attendance problems

When the bourbon is gone, the game is well in hand, and I'm out of piss balloons, I leave.

I usually leave around half... Unless it's a close game with a good caliber team..

wait, you think that's simple? It would be impossible to police, and would most definitely lead to some fire coda violations

I'm quite happy with my game day experiences. I don't see why everyone bitches about every little thing. Want cheap tickets...go buy them in front of the stadium before kickoff. The most I paid all season last year was $50 and I sat on the west side lower bowl every game except for auburn (2nd row south endzone.)

The fact that everyone complains so much about the fans leaving is mind boggling to me. Do you people really have such an inferiority complex that you are worried about what people around the country are thinking when they see us leaving early? Who the frick cares? Enjoy the game and STFU.

Before the season starts someone is already complaining about the atmosphere????

The great TD myth that only poor people cheer loudly :banghead:

What blows my mind is how many people just go for the tailgaiting now. They bring their SatDish with their big flat screen and sit there with their season tickets in their shirt pocket - unused...

Bull Friggin Eye. Rabidity goes hand in hand with limited opportunity. Used to be a trip to the game was a big deal. Used to be the only way to know the scores in the other games was by hearing them over the PA at half time of the game at TS. Everything is so immediate. Every person is completely over mediated. I took 10 friends from Ohio to the Kent State game. They'd heard about TS for 30 years from me. We went. The game was poor. The stadium was never loud even once. I had wilder times at sorority houses back in the day... well, maybe that's a bad comparison. Bottom line, they all compared it to their trip to Tuscaloosa the year before and we weren't even close. They made fun of TS, T Fans, and the entire game experience. TS is living on its old reputation forged by people that really care and now there are way too many fans waiting on the Bama game. I was at Rice game many moons ago and we were up 77 - 0 going into fourth period. The place was wild. And full. Because of many, many, many more factors too numerous to list here.

I have no issues with them hanging out at the tailgate..hell, I have a satdish and 50" at mine just for that reason. I agree with you though..at least give your tickets to someone. I've finally gotten a bunch of our season ticket holders to start handing tickets out to friends if they decide to sit at the tailgate.

Ummm you do notice you replied to me, right? Oh well ... I would like to figure out that $50 trick you speak of, since I'm coming from out of town.

I have friends coming in for every game this year and have instructed them all to NOT purchase tickets online. Go stand outside the south/west side with your fingers in the air. Stay away from the black scalpers on bikes and just buy from tiger fans. Most of them are willing to negotiate and most are just looking to dump their tickets. Go about 30 minutes before kickoff.

Thanks, last year coming from quantico I was raped online, guess I just wanted guaranteed seats. I will take your advice this year... I take it the bike scalpers have fake tickets?
