DCCC Chairman Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) tweeted out the news Friday morning, saying that more than 240,000 people had given to the committee in the past week. The $4.8 million in weekly fundraising is a new record for the committee.
The weekly haul is also larger than some monthly fundraising totals for the DCCC in recent years.

The Democratic campaign arm has led the National Republican Congressional Committee in fundraising this election cycle. The bump in fundraising will widen the cash edge it has over the NRCC heading into the fall elections.

Redrawing districts in Fl... out raising the Republicans, several for sure Senate seats... up for grabs.

I'm just pointing out that nothing is a given. Watch KY and MS for HUGE upsets or close races!

You know, every time there is a new election, there is a different fault for why the Republicans will lose? Bad weather, hurricanes, smear campaigns, false rumors, etc. Sooner or later we will just have to face the fact that the world has changed and those that want free stuff and bigger government are in the majority and it will only get worse.

You may be right, but the money isn't coming from "those who want free stuff" it's coming from the Soros', Gates, GE's, Buffets, etc that have long done business through buying the politicians, you know the ones who claim they are "for the middle class" and "against the greedy big corp fat cats".

Both parties cater to Wall Street, big contributors and the big banks which is part of the problem.

Well I don't think you are sharing any ground breaking info, but by your condescension, it appears you believe it is?

As I stated.... alot of people on this board are going to be as shocked as they were in nov 2012...

This is not in the bag. There are legal challenges that are stacking the deck. One like the redrawing in FL.

Then there is the Republican issue within the party like within MS. Everybody is thinking that whoever the Republican is.. they win.. it's MS.

Here you go for yesterday..

quote:

U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran told Neshoba County Fair attendees Thursday "I accept your nomination," and asked those who didn't vote for him in the Republican primary or runoff to get behind him in November.

Tea party supporters of his GOP opponent Chris McDaniel, who hasn't conceded his June 24 runoff loss, didn't interrupt Cochran's speech as some had feared. But neither did they cheer him. They cheered when Cochran's Democratic challenger, former U.S. Rep. Travis Childers, spoke. A few McDaniel supporters held signs that said, "Betrayed," and wore tape over their mouths.

See that word.... YEah.. a lot of the Republican party supporters are sitting at home because they no longer put a valid person up for election.

Seriously... McCain? Romney? They only reason Romney came close to pulling in those votes was Ryan.

Again:

quote:

"Folks, this seat belongs to you, to the people of the state of Mississippi," Childers said. "It doesn't belong to one person, doesn't belong to one party or one political machine or one special interest group."

"The tea party says we cannot sustain $17 trillion in debt," Childers said. "They're right. I pledge to vote for a balanced budget amendment."

Far... far from being a flip in the senate or even maintaining the house in a midterm that should be a given!

I agree.:

quote:

Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) told colleagues that the House should pass legislation with new steps to secure the border, and tell Obama if he didn't implement it, they would impeach him.

Among the many political imperatives identified by the South Dakota Republican Party for 2014 this past weekend was impeaching President Obama

quote:

Rep. Jason Chaffetz reiterated Tuesday that the impeachment of President Barack Obama is possible as the White House faces scrutiny over its role in responding to the terror attack on a U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya.

The conservatives who wanted to impeach Obama are acting like it was never their idea.

They have been banging this drum for several weeks now. I think they see huge losses coming in the mid terms. Trying to rescue the situation.

:kern:

The reality is, that was red meat/Rush Limbaugh stuff. Sounds great on the airwaves but the Republicans in the House are no fools. They are not going to touch this. The vote to "sue" the President is as far as this was ever going to get.

2 for sure seats are now up for grabs. MS and KY(McConnell has lost 2 more points).

In FL a judge ruled that they have to redraw lines... it is considered to favor the DEMS. More seats for them. None of these are given.

In Ark... Cotton is not doing well.

Udall is up 4..

Iowa.. +1 for the republican...

Peters is now up 6 in Mich.

Begich...up against both competitors.

Virginia.. Warner is up +10

Mexico.. Udall is up as much as 21...

Paint me a picture as to how, with dems out raising them, a flip will happen.

Just agreeing with you brother. The Dems are skeered and this is one of the best tools to use during a mid term. I am (honestly) counting on voter apathy from the Left to squeak one out.
