On paper one of LSU's best offensive lines, great running game, and a good defense. Everything that a young QB needs to help him succeed. Next year almost a whole new o-line, but the QB will have a year of experience.

Hmmm. Good point. The coaches planned this perfectly.

If we had a little more experience at WR then it would be a very favorable situation

I've been saying this.. Just because the other guy doesn't exactly have that much more experience and is not as talented.

This is the actual time to do it considering the youth and you have a very veteran offensive line lead by the best LT around..

Any ways

I completely agree. I think we can be successful with a young qb.

I don't agree considering the depth of talent we have coming in at WR. All reports say Quinn and Dupre are game ready now.
Combined with Dural, the TEs and guys like Magee, LF, and Neighbors to catch the ball out of the backfield, I don't see the offense suffering from a lack of targets.

It all depends on if he can keep his poise under pressure. Outside of mechanics (which I think Cam has done a helluva job correcting in Harris) poise is the biggest problem for young QBs.

Besides the 99 yard drive against an awful Arky team he hasn't exactly set the league on fire

No one is "writing off Jennings". But if you can't see that BH had a better spring and looked better in the spring game, I don't know what to tell you.

Sophomore Anthony Jennings will be the starter when the season opens so moot point. Now Harris may eventually win the job but I suspect after a loss or two.

This. Throw in a terrible spring game performance, and Tiger Nation, naturally, is a little wary.

Les has said repeatedly that Harris leads for the job. What part of that don't you understand?

Yes, some people are "writing off Jennings." It's foolish to do that, but some people are doing it.

I trust the coaches to make the right decision. They saw more of the QBs than us. They saw more of the QBs than one spring game.

In fact, the coaches saw only Jennings for an entire spring and fall last year. Don't underestimate the value of that entire year with Cameron. Also during that year, Jennings beat out Rettig and Rivers.

One might legitimately wonder why Miles adds a qualifier when talking about Harris’s talent.

Where you getting your info?

So, either you are expecting LSU to lose to Wisconsin and at least one of the other warmups before SEC play, or you think it will be midseason or later before BH gets the keys.
Is that right?

FALSE. Show me a link where he says that.

It doesn't matter if the fans are "writing off" Jennings. Both QBs will play a lot this season. Neither QB is good enough yet to hold on to the job the entire season.

Nobody is writing off jennings, it's just obvious that Harris is more talented and has a better rapport with the newcomers.

I think Harris doesn't become the starter until at least after Auburn loss.
