Just got a new .45 and I want to keep it locked next to my bed........

What is the best fingerprint ID safe for this?

Not worried about the price.

buddys camp down in Hackberry has 4 rooms with entry doors that are vaults down in a secured hallway. Each has fingerprint scanners for guests.

Thanks for that. But if anybody has feedback on the actual topic I am interested as well. I'm considering a vertical mount for behind the headboard.

Gunvault is your best option. I have the standard model without fingerprint reading, and it's great quality.

None of the brands of these are considered a "safe". It's a locking gun cabinet that could be pried apart with a little effort.
Just don't want you thinking it's "burglar proof"

I'm gonna be honest, keeping something that is supposed to protect your life in a critical situation locked up inside a safe when that critical situation happens is retarded

I agree but if you have kids running around the house you have to consider this option.

I want to buy the gun box, but it's pretty pricey.

Yes it is because you have a bunch of stuff that can go wrong fumbling around in the dark. Put it somewhere up high where they can't get to it

I just let the dogs get to them first. That buys me enough time to brew coffee, much less opening a safe.

My brother tried this method and his kids still got it down. Luckily he had been teaching them how to handle a firearm.

I've got this one:

I opened it to play with it...Works fantastic but I don't use it. No kids so mine stays in the nightstand drawer

I've got it for sale with the AC adapter and stainless cable for $160.00 if anyone is interested.
