This is my favorite item on the menu @ LaPagua in Lafayette. Anyone try to make it themselves?

lengua and barbacoa taquitos are some of my favorite foods to eat when hunting in So. Texas

very easy to make , just season well and cook the tongue slow and low for 4-6 hours. Crockpot overnight on low also works. Make sure you peel off the tough outer layer of skin

I'm also in Y-ville and next time I make it I'll invite you over

FYI - Dwyers downtown has been serving tongue for as long as I can remember .
