Thanks. Very beautiful. My dad was a pipe organ builder and also did repairs. He was one ov very, very few in the south in that business. I would bet he built/serviced the organ at that church. He traveled quite a bit in his line of work.

Would love to shoot pictures of St. James downtown. Grew up going to school there. Gorgeous church. It spoiled me.

Random fun fact St Andrews

The organist, John Paul, was educated at the Royal Academy of Music and was in the same class as Elton John and Rick Wakeman.

Good Lord, is John Paul still there? He was our music teacher 3,479 years ago when I was at St. Andrews school. Still have memories of him throwing erasers at us to get our attention, and calling us barbarians (he was quite right, ya know).

He sho' could play the keyboards, though, and I'll always owe him for my appreciation of all forms of music.

We had Mr. Boudreaux at St. James. Nice teacher and got me interested in music. Then our resident devil, Lenny Thompson, baddest kid I ever met, pulled the golf tee on the piano bench routine, and it unfortunately worked. Had to get an amount of stitches for his wound.
