That's a shite ton of tunnels Eqypt has destroyed, I bet the Muslim Brotherhood is pissed.
Hamas and the MB peace loving MoFos.

Egypt's army said Sunday it has destroyed 13 more tunnels connecting the Sinai Peninsula to the Gaza Strip, taking to 1,639 the overall number it has laid waste to.

Cairo has poured troops into the peninsula to counter a rising insurgency since the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi last year, and its security operation involves the destruction of these tunnels.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas, which is the main power in Gaza, reportedly uses the tunnels to smuggle arms, food and money into the blockaded coastal enclave.

Ties between Hamas and Cairo have deteriorated since the Egyptian army deposed Morsi on July 3, 2013. Hamas is an affiliate of Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood.

Cairo also accuses of Hamas of being involved in militant attacks inside Egypt, which have multiplied since Morsi was toppled.

A ray of light in that darkness. Praise to God and the Egyptian Military...none to Obama...for stepping up and throwing the democratically elected Morsi in jail. The rule of Law (Principle) over that of men/mob rule.

Man, would love to have been in the WH when Egypt was rejecting Morsi.

Obama topples Egypts gov, get's his Muslim extremist in and then the country's military ejects him.

Talk about seething from O and Jarrett. Wow.

And to think that Hamas was Israel's creation. Blowback is a bitch.

quote:

"Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel's creation," says Mr. Cohen, a Tunisian-born Jew who worked in Gaza for more than two decades. Responsible for religious affairs in the region until 1994, Mr. Cohen watched the Islamist movement take shape, muscle aside secular Palestinian rivals and then morph into what is today Hamas, a militant group that is sworn to Israel's destruction.

Interesting article - sounds familiar.

The border between Egypt and Gaza is only 12 kilometers in length. That is about one tunnel every 8 meters or 30 feet.

I find it very interesting when people like you show support for terrorists because it gives you the chance to blame the Jews. A lot like "she shouldn't wear that if she doesn't want to get raped". Such twisted logic. Whatever it takes to justify your side...I guess

I would guess that the one tunnel under the border crossing would branch off into dozen of other tunnels once into Egypt.

So large main tunnels branching off, still 1600 plus so far is impressive. I guess all that concrete they where begging for paid off.

That is the reason why both Egypt and Israel enacted the blockade of building materials. All Hamas was doing was building all these underground tunnels in hopes of doing harm and gaining revenge. Think of all the roads that could have been paved or schools and hospitals that could have been built. Instead they continue the never ending cycle of violence.

If Israel stopped fighting their existence would end. If Hamas would stop fighting there would be peace.

Well, good for Egypt. They seem to be doing a lot better ever since they got rid of those hoodlums Obama propped up over there.

Hey, after all, Moses was half Egyptian.

Why do you think Hamas turned down Al-Sisi's "fair" ceasefire proposal?
