Nathan Ake on the build up to that blunder.

But, we have a real striker now: Costa

To be fair, it was harder to miss than it was to score. Great skill from Torres there.

Good lord, every game he plays whatever value he still has diminishes. Ship him out yesterday!

Meh. It looked like he was expecting it either head high or on the ground - and it came in as a fastball chest high. He tried to dip to get his head on it.

We Ain't Got No History put it best. "A sleeping Torres would've outperformed the awake one here" or something like that.

He is terrible. He has been terrible for a while now. Still, he is taking his game to an even greater level of terrible.

He really needs to hang 'em up and just stop playing football.

Even though Chelsea already have Cech and Courtois, they should play Torres in goal. He has a natural ability to redirect the ball anywhere but the goal that is unparalleled in the game today.

I think that's going a bit overboard. He's certainly not what he used to be but as long as he's making a nice salary at Chelsea (or anywhere else for that matter) he'll be playing.
