I don't think Jarvis was "overshadowed" by Odell like the article says. Nevertheless, so proud of Juice.

Sounds Like Jarvis.

Sick hand always open.

Not as talked about because he isn't as fast as OBJ

I've been saying for a while now that Landry would have a quicker impact in the NFL and may even end up being a brighter star. Landry's skill set is unique. There are very few receivers that can do the things he can.

While OBJ is very quick and very fast.... that is more common in the NFL. There will almost always be someone else out there faster or quicker.

nah. Beckham is a Desean Jackson type of athlete. With a good QB, he will be big in the league.

Landry is like a Hines Ward or smaller Larry Fitz. I know he's not as fast as Fitz but his strength and stick-um hands, and body control reminds me of him.

Both of these guys should have great and long careers. I can see people looking back on this class 10 years later and marveling and how ridiculous the talent on offense was.

I think the best comparison for him is Anquan Boldin.

And It doesn't matter to me who is the brighter star, both will be awesome and fun to watch.

Still elated he's on my favorite team and I get to continue cheering for him after college.

I think his best comp is Derrick Mason. A guy no one ever talks about, and then you look at his numbers and you're stunned how great they are: 12,000 career receiving yards and 943 catches (12th all-time). Also, he's the same size, and both were picked behind a big name receiver they played with in college (Muhammed in Mason's case).

I'm rooting for Landry. Huge fan of his game.

I've been preaching the same thing. Landry will be a great pro.

Landry was likely the most polished receiver in the draft. He was more NFL ready than anyone because of his route running, blocking, knowing how to gain separation without relying on speed, and his elite pass catching ability. Beckham has a much much higher ceiling because, quite simply, he can do things that Landry can't in terms of natural speed and athleticism. However, it should come as no surprise than anyone to see Landry make a quicker impact than anyone because he doesn't have nearly as much to work on fundamentally as many of the other WRs in the draft do.

heard this all the time during the draft and just don't agree with it. Boldin is built like a running back. Landry is not, he's just strong for his size. The comparisons started because both didn't have good 40 times in the draft but were guys that knew how to use other avenues outside speed to get open. Boldin has nowhere near the pass catching ability that Landry does, he just knew (and still does) how to out muscle guys to get open, despite his lack of elite speed. Landry brings a skill set that Boldin never had, the ability to basically catch anything thrown in his general direction.

What are your thoughts on week one? Gonna be hot down there. Will Gronk be 100%?

If our o-line holds up, it'll be a damn good game.

Miami in the heat is always tough....but I can't remember the last time the Pats lost an opener

Gronk will be all systems go barring a setback. Same goes for Mayo, Wilfork, Dobson, and everyone else that got injured last year

First couple days of camp but Chandler Jones is getting excited....

quote:

Converted G Shelley Smith and QB Ryan Tannehill struggled with center-to-quarterback exchanges on the first day of Dolphins camp. The lack of cohesion was unsurprising considering Smith was not informed of his position switch to center until two days before camp. Still, with Mike Pouncey sidelined until at least midseason, it is an issue the Dolphins need to work out. The rest of the "rebuilt" line did not fare much better during the practice, with bookend tackles Brandon Albert and rookie Ja'Wuan James getting beat regularly.
