Maybe it's just that I haven't been playing close enough attention, but it seems like every time she's in the news, it is because she's throwing another party, taking another expensive vacation, or taking selfies with another celebrity. The only "official" duties I ever hear about are her attempts to screw up the school lunch system by condemning fat kids while she dines on expensive (and highly-caloric) food at the WH.

If a white First Lady went to a Jay-Z concert then you would see the press in a frenzy. I find the double standard "par for the course". They would ask any other First Lady if she approved the misogynistic lyrics in virtually all Jay-Z songs. This makes the First Lady a poor role model and hypocrite as they are able to hide behind "their culture".
Honestly, it's all a bunch of BS that I am happy the press ignores but let's make sure the next presidents family gets the same benefit of the doubt on these sort of events.

heck yeah ... I'm sure the press and no one else would have said anything if, hypothetically, Ann Romney (without the horse) went to a David Allan Coe concert.
