That sounds like a bad idea. Why would someone go to a movie theater if all of the games are already on TV?

The stadium like atmosphere. Same reason people watch championships in arenas/stadiums where the game isn't being played.

I'd have to see it. I understand it in theory, I just can't see a rowdy intense crowd at the Alpharetta, GA theater.

I can at least see the novelty in IMAX

I will be shocked if people pay $12.50 to watch at that meh.5 theater in Chamblee you can see from I85

Sure. And if it was a guaranteed decent crowd where people were into it, I'd try it. I just doubt it's gonna be very successful most places, but who knows.

i do think with the picture quality of movie screens that theaters are underutilized for watching live sporting events...
