Will there be a BCS-type ranking in college football this year?

Or will there be no computers involved in the rankings?

No computers will be involved.

Instead, the four teams will be determined by biased individuals that reconvene throughout the season behind closed doors.

Well, I know that's how they will choose the 4 teams... which is fricking retarded, but they aren't going to use a combo of computers and human voters just for rankings?

Or will they just use the AP rankings?

I'm not aware of any requirement for the committee to consider any polls in making their decision. In fact they will be issuing their own top 25 rankings starting in mid-season.

ETA: go to the link below and read the rankings tab

Wasn't the committee supposed to use 2013 as a dry run to test how their system will go starting this season? What happened to that?

It would have been good for them to do.

Nope.

They said they were going to and decided not to do it. Like I said.

Honestly if they wanted a committee that was mostly unbiased, I would like it to start and end with Nate Silver.
