As a guy who was born a couple years after this I never knew this happened till today. Don't really have any comments or questions just wondering what the ranters that remember this think about it and that year in football. LINK

archer had lost control of the team, tension between pete jenkins and others, FSU was playing most of its first team d with a massive lead, late hit and there you go...this is what I recall..also that Odel's dad fumbled opening kick off to get the route started..

That was Bobby Bowdens's 200th win, and Joe Dean was a retard.

quote:

When Louisiana State athletic director Joe Dean said, ``FSU is scared to play in the SEC,`` he had no idea it would be the fuel for Bobby Bowden`s 200th victory.

Dean made the comment when the Seminoles chose to join the Atlantic Coast Conference, and he said Saturday, ``That it was a compliment to Florida State. I was just disappointed. I thought it was a done deal.``
His words turned up on a banner in the Florida State locker room, and before a crowd of 60,111 at Doak Campbell Stadium, the No. 12 Seminoles took advantage of five turnovers to defeat LSU 42-3.

If we could only play ooc conference games like that again
Oh and if that happened today the UN would be called in to settle down the crazy thug actions and to condemn the actions

I remember LSU getting hit late repeatedly even though it was a blowout. They did it one too many times and at the end that fight took place after one last final hit. LSU lost the game bad, but they won the fight.

QB I think it was Chris Moock was hit late several yards off the field by Kirk Carruthers. Darron Landry took care of business.

If we would have beaten vandy (Offensive PI) the Tigers would have been 4-0 going into Gainsville. We beat UGA and Texas A&M in the first month then after September, I think we beat Kentucky & Tulane.

It was a free for all. But we were on the bad end of that one for sure. The Dark Ages started the following season. "Put your earrings in a box and send 'em home to Momma". I thought Hallmann was going to be the second coming. I was a dumbass.

Archer has the same amount of one loss seasons as Les and has only one less SEC championship than Les.

What a ridiculous comparison. And how many 6 or 7 loss seasons does Les have?
