Probably out of place but I figured more people on the soccer board have made the pilgrimage to London than most and hopefully won't get horrible OT answers.
Basically anyone have a favorite bar or pub to grab some drinks they would like to recommend? Staying in South Kensington but over in Holborn so flexible on location.

Not very close to you but if you are up in North London at any point check out the Faultering Fullback. Cool bar with awesome multilevel courtyard. Awesome Thai place in the back.

Solid thread title.

I lived in Islington for 6 weeks and The White Lion was right around the corner from the dorm. Good beer on tap and nothing but locals. There's also a good Indian restaurant right around the corner. You can get off the Tube at the Angel Station and there are a ton of touristy bars lining the street. The White Lion is much more of a local hangout.

There is a pub called Punch & Judy's in Covent Garden that I really liked. It's right in the middle of the market so there are shops and restaurants all around and they have a balcony over looking the market square

This is quite vague, but alongside the River Thames there are quite a few boats that are actually bars. Pretty sure the place I went was was called Hispinola near Embankment tube station.
You can grab a meal below deck then sit on the boat with a drink. At night its really good as you have a view of the Houses of Parliament, the eye etc. all lit up in the night sky.
If you are by yourself there are usually some smoking hot womenz there, and if you are with a wife/gf etc. it can be romantic(actually found out its where my dad took my step mum on their first date), although its not somewhere to go with kids.

I recommend going to the Open Air Theatre in Regents Park. Also, in case it isn't already obvious, everything is expensive.
