Which of you has any clue what it's like to wake up to this?

On any given day.

How's your neighborhood this morning?

Feeling comfortable at the local Starbucks?

Popped into your car and head out to the market without a thought of blowing up?

I wouldn't need any Starbucks if that greeted me in the morning.

There certainly are a lot of things that we as Americans take for granted.

Always a "chance" of a car blowing up.

My lil sister lives in Israel for long stretches at a time. She's pretty liberal and jaded, though. It's odd.

Americans of all stripes and political persuasions are virtually clueless as to how much of a shithole much of the rest of the world is - and how lucky we are to be here.

Parts of Europe are nice, parts of East Asia are nice. Heck, parts of SW Asia are nice, but only the ones with money.

Clueless Americans remain blissfully in a bubble.
