The events yesterday were an incredibly moving display of respect and dignity by the entire Dutch nation, in stark contrast to the actions of the Russians/separatists.

No doubt. It was a very respectful ceremony to a bunch of strangers. What is their (zee Dutch) association with this anyway? B/c the flight originated in AMS?

Nearly two thirds of the passengers were Dutch.

ETA: In proportion to their population, this was like 9/11 to them. The biggest Dutch loss of life in one event since WWII.
