The Obama administration will continue handing out Obamacare subsidies to federal exchange customers despite a federal court’s ruling Tuesday that the subsidies are illegal.

But the White House said in response that it will continue handing out the billions of taxpayer dollars in subsidies. White House press secretary Josh Earnest said that while the case continues to be battled out in the courts, the administration will continue to dole out billions in tax credits to federally-run exchange customers.

Does it matter?

Who is going to enforce anything against Obama?

Yes, I believe it is. The appeals court could issue an order for them to stop if petitioned to do so. However, considering the en banc petition and a probable appeal from that, doubtful they'd grant it.

The laws created in Washington on apply to the masses. Don't forget that those special individuals are exempt from any and all laws.

I was just watching the rerun of Megyn Kelly (I would love to sex up that cougar) and she said it was. So I guess moving on as planned is legal for now.

Tells you all you need to know about his respect for the Constitution and Separation of Powers.

Hey EthanL,

Remember when you first started here claiming you were a republican. That was hilarious.

Clearly, Obama can't conform with BOTH court's opposing interpretations.

quote:

Less than two hours later, a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, based in Richmond, handed down a contradictory ruling on the issue in a separate case, raising the possibility of yet another high-stakes battle over the law playing out before the Supreme Court.

Until a final judgment, they do not have to stop.

However, considering the payments may ultimately be deemed illegal, they are just making the potential "clawback" that much worse down the line.

Help me out here ... what exactly is happening?

Are broke-arse Obama voters who signed up for Obamacare via the federal site ... well, are they getting a check ... or simply free health-care ... or some sort of tax credit?

Hard to imagine that someone who needs the Feds to steal John Q's money to give to them for healthcare ... would need a "tax credit" ?
