To be fair here, G8TRGRT, you did express your posts as if they were facts directly from the Brosette camp.

Duckie there are some things I know to be fact that I don't express on here. So in fairness to Nick I will take a bashing from individuals to protect others.

Again I have not spoke to Nick directly but I still think he goes elsewhere for a variety of reasons.

This thread has certainly been entertaining
I would be ecstatic if Nick decided to go to Texas. From what I've heard, Charlie has been on him and Chris Warren hard. Seems like they're both the ideal type of backs for what he wants to do. But i do agree with the LSU fans here, in that our RB class could be potentially 4-5 backs this cycle (if Brosette flipped and we got Chris Warren). Obviously a couple of those guys could play elsewhere, and supposedly Stevenson has been looking around.
If Charlie is able to convince him to flip, then awesome, but I doubt it would be because of the depth chart. That would be disingenuous to the other backs we're recruiting and would also make Nick look silly for believing something like that.
I honestly didn't think we had much of a chance with him, but there's been some smoke apparently. Will be interesting to see how this plays out, good luck to you all

how fair of you!! come on here and make it seem like he is afraid of competition, then make a statement like that? you are so brave!

Redfieldk717 if you can show me where I said Nick was scared of competition please show me. I'll be waiting!

At the risk of drawing "friendly fire", I have to agree.
It was just an opinion. In regards to 'sounded like fact', I assume EVERY post is prediction / opinion. Unless it is a report of "_______ just PUBLICLY committed ..", then it is all opinion.
And, I happen to think it is a reasonable opinion. I do not agree with it (insofar as "Fournette's relief, etc"). But, it is reasonable and I'm sure the young man IS considering it.
I hope like Hell that Nick comes to LSU and I expect that he will.
But, I don't see why we need to be upset that others (who do NOT wear P & G glasses) sees opportunities elsewhere and express that opinion.
I disagree with G8TRGRT's opinion. i don't find it disagreeable.

I'm not reading all this shite but:
1. I'm sure the thought of one Fournette scares Brossette more than 10 Texas kids he knows nothing about if he is wanting to be the man.
2. G8R, the poster the egg is the son of that lady who wrote that long bad review about your car dealing skills online just FYI.

If depth chart is his issue, that's insinuating that he doesn't want to share the ball. But that's just me.
Hope he ends up at LSU like everyone else.
It wouldn't surprise me that he reads this board and I wouldn't think he appreciates you guys spilling info that he could be leaning Texas because he doesn't want to fight with the depth chart.
If he's good enough, he'll get carries.

Hope he doesn't flip. Baton Rouge kid. Hard worker and nice kid from what I have heard. Stay home B

I know for a fact you bad mouth LSU every chance you get around kids and THEIR FAMILIES. To sit here and act like you are just giving a non-biased opinion is complete and utter bullshite.
Instead of being on here starting shite you should be worried about who is going to be coaching Florida next season and how that affects the recruitment of a certain individual.

G8TRGRT-You are full of shite when it comes to your knowledge of Davon G. You say that you were there when he made the phone call to the Florida coaches huh? Well I was there also when he made the call. I also was there and HELPED with his signing day speech. I also was there when he went of visits to Bama, Fla. St. Ole Miss etc.
Also was there when he woke up the morning of NSD. So you keep pushing that bullshite you say you know about Davon G. I'm more than an insider as you call it. Now you go play now.

You seem to keep repeating the only reason is Fournette/competition.
Which still makes no sense for the number of reasons already mentioned in this thread:
1. Texas will have a lot more RBs than LSU will. Including two upper classmen who he would not beat out as a freshman.
2. We have constantly, ALWAYS had a rotation of backs, for 10 years running that will not change. Sure sometimes we have a feautre back, but they never have something crazy like 300 carries. Hilliard has been a backup every year here and will leave with around 300 carries. Magee has been a backup and likely the starter this year and will leave with 200-250 carries. You come to LSU as a RB, you will get your chances, and plenty of them.
3. If Brosette is so concerned about the NFL he would look no further than Charlie Strong sending just 1 RB to the NFL in 4 years at UL vs. Les Miles sending 4 RBs to the NFL in the the last 4 years at LSU. Or how about 6 RBs in the last 5 years? How about a total of 9 in his 9 seasons here? Miles runs an offense that caters to RBs and every single one of him he has. He wont run you out and puts you in at least some chance to be drafted by an NFL team.

Is this like another 504? Mr. Jackson please explain this to me if you would be so kind.
My question is why present your argument or opinion in the matter you chose? What was the gain? It seems to me as if negative personal feelings could be generated through your posts instead of simply stating your opinion, what do you think?

I'm glad you posted this, because his statement definitely had an effect on my perception of DG.
Thanks.
I'll give the kid the benefit of the doubt now.
