This just keeps getting weirder.

And my favorite part...
Poor Casey. I have said it before...I hope he haunts his family for the rest of their lives.

His second wife Jean had the body moved before his daughter Kerri took out a restraining order in an attempt to keep it in Tacoma, Washington.

Kerri Kasem is seeking court authorisation for an autopsy. On 15 July, she obtained a temporary restraining order to prevent it being moved from Tacoma or being cremated.
And my favorite part...
quote:
Corey Gaffney, president of Gaffney Funeral Home in Tacoma, Washington, told the Canadian Press: "What we did was made sure that Casey got to the airport, we released custody of Casey to the airline.
"The airline signed for that and acknowledged that and then at that point we returned to our office, tracked his flight to Montreal, confirmed that he had arrived, reported that to Mrs Kasem.
"When he landed in Montreal, I ceased being the funeral director in charge."
Poor Casey. I have said it before...I hope he haunts his family for the rest of their lives.

He is probably pissed about this. Not as mad as when they made him do a death dedication coming out of an up-tempo record, but pretty pissed.

I called it on the other thread and I was correct.

The funeral home director or his daughter and wife or whomever?
I don't see what the funeral home people did wrong. Sounds like they did their job, it's not their responsibility to mediate between his daughter and wife.
His radio show was shite btw.

I wonder who will make Ryan Seacrest do Casey's death dedication coming out of an up-tempo record?

His family. I don't care whose side you are on...they have made a complete farce of this whole thing and are all acting like a bunch of little bitches.
As for the funeral director, I have no problem with him at all...in fact I find it humorous that he is talking about delivering a dead body to another city like its your basic every day package

Just making sure you were referring to his family. I agree, the fact that his daughter and wife are fighting over his body is sickening; but really, how does an outsider even begin to decide who has rights in a situation like that? I'd hate to be the judge deciding the issue while the body rots.
I do appreciate the nonchalantness of the funeral director. It is a dead body after all, if the family is going to fight over the thing you might as well call a spade a spade and treat it like the carcass it is.

Poor Casey
he just wants a goddamn concerted effort to come out of a record that isn’t a fricking up-tempo record every time he does a goddamn death dedication. Is Don on the phone??

And I thought the James Brown situation was weird!

Kinda weird that he was the voice of Shaggy and now his death is like a Scooby Do mystery..
