I see they are selling GA tix for an upper and lower level. This leads me to believe this will be in the arena.
The arena can hold 12000 for concerts

How many tickets do you think they will sell?

He had a show in 2012 in the exhibition hall, which is massive 80000sq ft. It was only a quarter of it open though. There was only a few thousand there. It was supposed to be at laberge, then moved

I'm curious how much it cost to rent the arena, and if they'll have a profitable show if they sell 3000 tix. @$50 a piece that's $150000

Thing is it's been announced for a month.
River center does no advertising I guess.

2000 people at best.

Tiesto was booked for the river center and they didn't sell jack for tickets. It was canceled.

Maybe disco can chime in.

I would think Bassnectar would draw a much bigger crowd than Tiesto in a college town like BR

Yea Bassnectar would pull more of the fraternity crowd but Tiesto is a much bigger act and would pull from all of BR and Laffy and Nola(assuming BR is the only Louisiana stop).

Either way, bringing an electronic act to the River Center is just asking for a failure. Bassnectar would be better suited for the Varsity.

Tiesto is boring as shite. Just the same untz untz untz over and over again. At least Lorin has some variety to the show.

frick no. He's way too big for that. I saw him there in '10 and it was the most packed I have ever seen the Varsity.

Well thats your opinion on Tiesto and I agree with you. I dont like trance or the crowd that follows him around like a cult. There is no denying though that he is a much bigger act than Bassnectar, who I think is also boring as shite and has a terrible following.

Whats a frick load?

The OP said this

2k or so is a lot for a show in BR.

It is a little small for him but I couldnt think of anything in between 12000 at the River Center and 800 at the Varsity. I didnt realize that he would be playing in a side room when I originally made that statement. A 20k square foot area seems about right.

He was not supposed to play at L'Auberge. He was booked at some new venue right outside of BR called like the Sugar Mine or something. Then that venue fell through. I think it was still being built or something. Then it was moved to the River Center. It will probably be bigger this since since the last one was only accommodating for the amount of people originally booked at the other venue, which was a lot smaller

Your right, I just remember it being outside and by the casino, thinking they were together. Wonder what happens to the venue
