Form is very solid. He only attempted 4 3s in the Peach Jam. I'd say 15-18 is his range right now. I'd imagine he's working on the range.

He is one of the few people in the country that can truly pull off the point forward type role. He looked very good passing the ball both out of the post and in a pick and roll type situation. He will be a nightmare to guard. I wish we could have him for 2 years but I'm gonna be very happy about having him for the year he will be here.

Handles the ball coast to coast like Anthony Randolph
All around game like Grant Hill
Defends in the post like Jordan Mickey
perimeter game like Jarrell Martin
Athleticism like Kevin Durant
same size as Carmello Anthony (not HS, but NBA)

A young Dwayne Wade the way he get to the rack and score through contact. Don't settle for jumpers just how D-Wade was in college

Derrick Coleman... Dude looks like Derrick Coleman in his Syracuse days (minus the mean streak)

if he develops a consistent 20 footer we can use him in some 1/3 1/4 pick n pops

he's the type not to really force though which is good

Are those sarcasms?

Mickey sucks at on-ball defense. Great help D, but terrible when defending his man. Martin needs to work on his outside game more. Melo is about 25-30 pounds heavier

No real idea how good his shot is because he's dominant and athletic. He doesn't need an outside shot to score at will.

If this film shows me anything it's that we can do some 3/4 pick and roll type plays with Simmons having the ball in his hand. Looks like he has pretty solid handling and the ability to finish at the rim as well as dump the ball off. Plus most guys who will guard him won't be great at getting thru screens cause they will have to be somewhat big seeing that he is somewhere between 6'8" and 6'10"...

I should know this but has Ben Simmmons actually signed a LOI with LSU. I forget how the basketball recurting/commiting works

There is an early signing period sometime in November that will last about a week. He will sign then. If he doesn't, there will be another signing period in April.

Not yet. He can sign in the October "early signing period." Of course nothing is final until he signs, but he has give zero indication that he is looking anywhere else but LSU
