Sounds great for LSU LINK

quote:

"I had a great time this weekend and it felt really good to finally get that LSU offer," the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder said. "I wasn't born here, but I quickly learned that LSU is a way of life down here and the offer means a lot."

quote:

"They (LSU) have a lot to offer as a program," he said. "Coach Cam Cameron is a great guy that has a resume that speaks for itself. They are always in contention for National Championships and it's a really nice place.

quote:

"I'm committed to another program so I don't feel comfortable talking up any other program really, but it's definitely an offer that has a little special feel to it than some of the others. I mean, I had to be patient and really earn the offer. Coach Cameron came to see me this spring, traveled with us to the National Championships at the IMG tournament and picked my brain every chance he could. I had to prove it to him and I respect that."

quote:

"A lot of things can happen in the college football world so it wouldn't be smart for me to exclude anyone," Patterson said. "I mean, coaches change, programs struggle or rise anything can happen really. I'm honoring my commitment now, but you never know what tomorrow holds so I have to be prepared for anything."

quote:

"My dad has a good understanding of how recruiting works," he said. "Having him with me every step of the way has been a blessing. He enjoyed our time with LSU's coaches for many of the same reasons I did. He will be supportive of whatever I do in the end because it's really a team effort with my whole family, not just me."

quote:

During his visit, Patterson had the chance to meet with many of the LSU coaches, including the headman Les Miles. The vibe he felt while there certainly stood out to the rising junior quarterback.

"I had a good, long meeting with Les Miles and he was great," Patterson said. "He was telling me that he thought I was a difference maker and he would love to have me at his program. He was just really cool about everything and didn't put any pressure on me.

"In fact, none of the coaches did. Frank Wilson was great as was Cam Cameron. It was a good trip and I'm glad I ended up going."

Kid fell in love with LSU the first time he saw a game in TS. Which was the Auburn game last year with the "stiff dew" last year.

What did the 8th grader have to do to "earn" his offer? What did he "prove"? Give me a break!

The 8th grader proved that he was a 6'3" manchild with a cannon arm who happens to come from a family of coaches and QBs. Can't you just be happy for Patterson that he got his offer?

Its Coach Cameron, the man can offer any Qb he wants and its beyond fruitless for any armchair recruitnikt to second guess him.

I just remember when George Whitfield said about three months ago that LSU would become QBU while Cameron was here. That is slowly becoming true.

It's amazing the progress that Cameron and Grimes have made in their short time here. The previous regimes really did leave us dry on the recruiting trail in certain positions.

I really hope Les becomes our next AD. He has been an absolute master at hiring coaches.

If only Brick and Henry didn't take on the Stud-Ensminger recruiting roles lately.

Brick is working it, but yeah falling short.

He's been tasked with some very select targets, hard to get targets. I predict it will APPEAR to be a rough year for him. Even if he accomplishes what CFW/CLM asked him to accomplish (which he's not close yet).

Henry? good question.

B/c you have been all up in deleted threads about S. Patterson saying he isn't that big of a need because we have a commitment from F. Franks.
