More exciting than WNBA and women's bowling IMO

I don't mind women's soccer. I think it's one of the better women's team sports and it helps that they are some of the more attractive athletes.

Even though Boston is at the bottom of the tables, they haven't lost many games by more than 2 goals.

Thanks for the update, ESPN2. I'm sure Boston fans are relieved by that.

Wow, I'm actually impressed by the crowd there. So does the Pacific North West just really really like soccer or does the association with the Timbers help the fan turnout?

Joining up with a men's MLS team and basically becoming the female version (ie have the same name and everything like in college sports) seems like a smart way to hit the ground running as a new female sports team.

Seems like a European concept, really. There's a Women's Premier League, basketball clubs (i.e. FC Barcelona) that go by the name of the Football Club, etc.

I think comparing it with the way we do collegiate athletics here is spot on. It definitely helps the fans associate with the club.

Can't believe the craze I see for a womens soccer team when having a beer near Providence Park. Don't get it, 15/20 years ago I thought I was the only soccer fan in the PNW.

Breakers will always be USFL to me.

3 Super Bowls, 3 World Series, 1 NBA Title, and 1 Stanley Cup since 2001? Won't matter until the Breakers bring home that NWSL Championship.
