pretty solid sci fi-ish flick. i could kind of tell during the movie that it was based on a tween-centered medium. it's got the chick from Hannah (grown up into a cutie patootie with a great haircut). she goes to england to visit family, falls in love with a guy (who i think is her cousin ) and them WW3 breaks out. it's got a "the road" like vibe but on a much less terrible level.

this wasn't a full movie, and it was a pretty weak follow up to series 7. i hope the new seasons coming on netflix aren't this terrible. i also finished off series 7 today, but it's not a movie an i'm trying to keep this mostly movie-based

just pure over the top insanity. the first one really isn't that good, but man the second one takes movies to a whole new level. and the attempts to squeeze in all the stars is just hilarious (esp chuck norris). it's really hard to watch these movies and believe stallone and lundgren are near-genius level intellects

the collective H2H, PrT, and anabolics used to make this movie boggle the mind

also, on a "frick this" note, jet li is a pussy in terms of H2H fighting. it's pretty bad

Dogtooth

for how much the Expendables dual feature was exactly what you expect, THIS movie was not. i knew the basics (controlling parents keep kids at home and teach them fricked up stuff). i won't get into the deets, but this shite is much weirder than i initially imagined. still worth a watch, as even though it's creepy and a bit crawly, it's very safe/tame.

The History of Future Folk

i can't recommend this enough. it's a very light-hearted sci fi comedy that is the background story of a tenacious-D like folk group (that exists in real life). i thought this was a straight up movie movie until i watched, and then i realized this was a continuation of something that happens irl. very, very light and full of solid folk tunes. it has a really good energy and doesn't take itself seriously at all.
