I'm running on three hours of sleep. That coupled with signing deadline means I'm not getting shite done at work today

I'm thinking that's how it'll play out. Stros won't give in so much that y'all will only be able to sign Aiken and nix. Should be plenty of money for Marshall if Aiken signs.

Yeah my only worry is that Aiken waits until 3:59 to sign which I don't think Luhnow will let happen.

Yeah, it'll be done a bit earlier than that no matter what happens imo

I think they can get all three done today. Will be interesting to see it all play out. Aiken will feel the pressure and cave I think. That's a shitload of money to pass on with an uncertain future in that left arm.

There is no way...you can't have a strategy of dumping as many games as possible to pick #1 and then not sign your #1 pick. Especially considering how bad (and obviously there is so much time to turn it around) appel has looked.

With injury concerns, sure you can....

Apple has been a bust up to this point
Aiken will eventually need surgery and from reports it will alter his delivery/speed

Yes way.

An injured Aiken + Nix is not better than the 2nd overall pick we would receive next year.

If Aiken walks the Astros will have two of the top five picks next draft.

You're right. But if they budge off that minimum offer though i'll wonder how serious they really view the elbow concerns. I mean if he's injured and surgery is necessary then you just offer the minimum to get your compensation pick and akien walks.

I just don't see them not signing aiken though, and then nix.
