Fall/winter fishing with larger centerconsole

If all goes well i will have a new to me center console by mid august. Just curious if there is anything i will be able to target with it that late in the season as the barrier island trout fishing will be winding down. Just trying to get some use out of it and not have to park it till spring. Boat will be a 26' world cat.

Red snapper. Trout on the rigs. Mangrove snapper. Redfishing the passes. Depending on the rip, easily could hit bluewater for mahi, wahoo, etc...
I really think a cat about that size is the most versatile option for running out of Grand Isle.

Rigs off the beach or Pelto/Terrebonne bay?
Really hoping this boat checks out as nice as it looks in the pictures. Just trying to get together a game plan for some late season trips i think it would kill me to buy it and park it till next trout season. Might even try for some Tuna with it out at the lump. With the state giving a year round snapper season on weekends I will definitely take advantage of that if i can. I just never really fished outside cocodrie area past late august early september after that it was inside fishing or hang up the rods and start hunting. Don't have a hunting camp anymore so I am going to try and extend the fishing.

Wahoo fishing is best in October-December.
Mahi should still be around well into the fall.
Tuna on the lump are definitely an option, and AJ season re-opens come August as well. There is PLENTY to target in a boat that size 365 days a year. Haven't even touched on grouper, snapper, etc...

don't tell anyone but the trout are in Pelto year round if you can get out in the weather. You have trout options with that boat, just can't get into small waters.

Thanks for the responses guys. Looks like i will be watching a few LSU games from the camp this year 
I have been out of the island/offshore scene since pre-katrina so it will be nice to finally get out there again on my own rig. Sold my 20' center console back in 2008 that was adequate for the island but not much else and my dad sold his houseboat and 25' whaler back in 2003. Going to have to relearn everything but will be nice to get a deck bloody and put some meat in the freezer. Went out of venice last weekend and caught some tuna, wahoo, mahi and snapper and all that did was add fuel to the fire on purchasing a boat

Isn't tuna behind shrimp boats on like gang busters in the fall out of coco?
But.. If it's a new to you boat, maybe stick close in during the fall til you park it just in case something malfunctions and so you can get a read on how the boat performs. Then over the winter fix any problem areas and get your tackle ready and in the spring you'll be ready to wreck shop on the endangered red snapper (if there are any left) et al.
