The cops didn't like one of their own getting busted.

Why is the OT so obsessed with cops?

Because they're increasingly terrible and violent and have the potential to kill someone or ruin their life at the drop of a hat.

I understand everyone has their opinions, but I've never seen a message board more obsessed with something like the OT is with cops.

This what happens when the best and brightest move into better careers and former athletes and kids that got bullied become cops.

Knew a guy who routinely got his arse whopped in high school, was a nice guy and always had time for conversation. Ran into him when he became an APD officer and he said two words with his sunglasses on, like hey now move along civilian.

Too many cops think they are MMA fighters who are akin to serving in the military and never get a chance to be exposed because their buddies back them up regardless of the law.

You mostly see it from the simpletons, which LSU picked up a lot of following WalMart's increase in LSU merchandise following the national titles.

Anyone who actually believes that police violence is on the rise, and doesn't understand that they're just seeing more of it due to technology and social media is . Know how many hams Mother's on Poydras was passing out a few decades back for police kills of blacks? Check out the number of "good shoots" in the jackets of cops who are over 50 and let me know if today's numbers are even in the ballpark.

Few of the posters on this board were alive during the era you are speaking of. If you don't think that cops are being militarized even as we speak across this country you are delusional.

Agreed... There is no reason for city police officers to wear army fatigues and you see it all the time.

Because the amount of authority that cops possess makes it imperative that they are held to the highest standard, and with that comes much needed scrutiny.

Even small town cops are usually decked out in tactical gear, looking as if they're fixing to raid a drug lord.

There is a huge problem with cops in the states. They have power that could be considered fascist and what they can get away with is disturbing.

I think the common sense answer to "army fatigues" is more along the lines of the SWAT units.

I personally don't know why officers wear a dress style uniform for street work anyway. It not practical. With a gun belt, the stuff on the belt gets in the way of those front pockets so those becomes useless.

Plus polyester just seems like it would be stupidly hot in the summer
