This is the kind of stuff my garage band was into back in the day.

How does their single/sound stand up today?

I really dug them back in the day. Of course, I like those overly slushy guitars and female vocals.

Same here. Bands like Velocity Girl, Ivy, Belly/Throwing Muses, etc. were the tits.

Love them. Went back to hear more VG. Gilded Stars is not on youtube, so I'll just post Sorry Again.

You just gave me one of those "damn I feel old" moments. I saw Lush twice: HOB for their last tour before the drummer killed himself and Lollapalooza '92, which is still the greatest concert event I have ever been to.

Jesus and Mary Chain
Lush
Porno for Pyros
Soundgarden
Pearl Jam
Ministry
Chili Peppers (though they weren't very good)

Ice Cube even played, though all I wanted him to do was play Today Was A Good Day on repeat for his 30 mins. A cool moment was during his set Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder came out with some band members and they all played Body Count's "Cop Killer" as this was the same time that song was getting the ban.

A departure somewhat for Lush, and underrated song IMHO,

My freshman year of high school. Unfortunately, I was still listening to lame shite like Warrant, Skid Row, and C & C Music Factory and missed the historical significance of that concert.
