It's essentially turned into the slam dunk contest in that no big names enter. I get excited for it and after an hour, I'm bored as hell.

I'm also sick of the foreign guys not being able to speak English.

The shenanigans that the players do to the batter has gotten old too. It was funny 10 years ago. Now it's just outplayed.

Anyone else over the HRD?

There are big names in it every year.

Why?

That being said the HR Derby has lost its luster for me.

The "big names" of today don't compare at all to the big names of the 90s.

I've gotten bored with it the last few years. But,

wtf? I guess you're talking about Puig. Imagine moving to a different country. A year later, would you be speaking the language fluently? It's possible sure, but difficult nonetheless.

Stanton, Cespedes, Puig, Morneau, Tulo, Bautista, and Adam Jones are all big names

ETA as are Donaldson and Dozier so far this season; Todd Frazier is a somewhat big name

Griffey Jr, Bonds, Sosa, McGwire, A-Rod, Bagwell, Ripken, Gwynn, etc.

Stars back then were more dynamic/exciting than they are today.

I don't care for it because it's kind of long, but
