Adding fireplace to living room

Im looking to add a gas fireplace to my living room. Has anyone done this before here? It will be just a basic drywall and wood mantel....no brick.

I went with a vent-free, free standing fireplace. Because I didn't want to cut holes in the wall or add sheet rock. Also you might want to post this in the Outdoor Board for better response.
