Is ESPN done shoving soccer down our throats for now?

Or are they going to try to ride this World Cup wave a little longer?
I find it hard to believe that a significant portion of America yesterday cared what happened in a soccer game between two far away countries located on other sides of the world than our own. But if you paid attention to ESPN you'd think that the entire nation was shut down in order to watch.
I am guessing they will see the writing on the wall with their ratings for soccer coverage and shut down until Euro in 2016.

Don't they own tv rights to mls? They promoted the Dempsey team game the other day.

Great, so we can listen to a bunch of neanderthals blather on about NFL training camp for 2 months...

They put a gun to your head?

Why are people so threatened by soccer?

I'd rather watch live lacrosse than the endless NFL rumor mill that ESPN is for 9 months out of the year.

There is nothing going on in the American sports world but the middle of baseball and Lebron and you're bitching about their exemplary coverage of one of the best sporting tournaments the world has seen in some time.
What a miserable existence you must have.
What a miserable existence you must have.

When will the anti soccer threads end!
These threads are a million times worse than any coverage espn has on the worlds largest single sport tournament.

Are you done shoving your dumb arse thoughts down our throats yet?

I'm sure you'd prefer something else being shoved down your throat.

Who the frick watches ESPN unless there's a game on anyways? Let me guess your favorite show: Sportscenter?

I'm not even a soccer fan necessarily, but I do not understand how so many close minded people can hate something so trivial as a damn sport so much. Get over it! and if you are really that miserable of a person, go do something productive with your life other than watching ESPN.

I wish more cricket was on tv

they definitely should have been discussing Lebron and mid season MLB instead of one of the biggest sporting events in the world

Baseball is one of the biggest sports in the world

It's hyperbole like this that makes tards like the OP start these sorts of threads FYI.
Like it or not but posting that sort of statement like it's a fact just makes ignorant people who already have an agenda against soccer and soccer fans lash out more.
Just saying

I have an all cricket channel. I try to watch it every now and then, but I have zero clue what's going on and can't seem to figure anything out while watching.

I never watch ESPN unless I am watching a live event
But I agree that the NFL obsession ESPN has is annoying too
I stay away from 24/7 sports channels
