Last minute vacation booking

Anyone do this?

My nanny is heading to beach. I asked where they were staying, she said somewhere between Gulf Shores & Destin. They start calling vacant rentals on the way down and usually stay somewhere nice on the cheap.

Yes. I usually offer 30% less than advertising price and tell them no tax or bullshite fee added expect for cleaning fee. I pay via paypal night before arrival.

nope, I am not the slightest bit spontaneous...gotta have all lodging planned out or I am just uncomfortable with the whole trip...

The economy down south is doing well and the beaches are booked pretty solid this summer. Seems like a pretty shitty way to go about a vacation
