AD's potential?

What do u think Anthony Davis will be like in 4 years?
IMO he'll be 25 in the middle of his max deal. I think his range would reach out to three point line and he'd be like a point forward for us. With him averaging I'd say 26.5ppg 10reb 3ast 1stl 2blcks

I think those that's are very reasonable guesses. The rebounding numbers would depend on if he has a guy like Asik still there helping out or not. Either way, he's likely going to average between 9-11 rebounds/game over the course of his career.

And if the difference between AD now and AD at 25 is about 6 points, 1.5 assists, and 1 less blocks/game, I'll be shocked.

He'll be better than KG and TD both by the end of his career with the Lakers or the Celtics.

hate to hone in on this, but you're saying his max is to have 1 fewer block per game than he averaged last year?

Solid point but in his defense, AD probably won't get as many chances at blocks if we keep a guy like Asik around to do more of the dirty work around the basket.

26 ppg, 12 rpg, 4 apg, 1.5 spg, 3.5 bpg
...he averaged 2.8 bpg last season
Tim Duncan at 25 averaged 26 ppg, 13 rpg, 4 apg, 1 spg, 2.5 bpg

Honestly, is there any chance in hell he stays here? Can someone give me the potential of building around him? What do the next few years bring to us after we get rid of the dead weight of EG? What type of FA will we be able to get to entice him to extend and stay?

I'd love for him to hit Tim Duncan's status, and, his ability can very well exceed that. It is going to be a very good future to be a pelican fan!!!!!!

Assuming Jrue, Tyreke, and Anderson all remain healthy and play like they are capable, the future sets up very nicely to be able to add another very sold piece once Gordon is gone.
I see us making great strides this season leading up to a big season in 2 years.
Bringing in the talent we have the past 2 offseasons shows AD we are committed to being a winner.

Yes until 2018-19

They're in the process of that. A guy like asik is pretty key.

A long term answer at SF hopefully.

Doesn't have to always be an FA.

Being committed to win and actually winning are a big difference. I just don't think we can afford to make anymore bad moves. And what happens when Monty and Dell get fired in a year or two? Will AD want to stick around for another regime?

What bad moves have we made other than matching Gordon? Obviously that was a biggie but it's not like we are swinging and missing all over the place here.

EG was a huge FU. That kind of dead weight sinks most teams. You can't miss on that type of contract. I'd love to see a healthy team. It's hard to judge the other moves because we have yet to see them play long stints together.
The lack of draft picks also chaps my balls a little too. Last year was just frustrating and Monty can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag.

The only real bad move is EG but that was circumstance.

Monty's seat is hotter at this point imho.

Why not?
