It's for an Adult Softball team I'm on during the fall. Just trying to get as much cash we can get so we can put our money towards better bats for the team. Worst case scenario, we just pay it ourselves..but wouldn't mind the help

I have the name of the park/league in the header

quote:

-Fees include:
- $475 team entrance fee
- $300 uniform fee ($20 per Jersey, 15 players)

__ UNIFORM OPTION - Payment of $300.00 will result in sponsoring company’s name on front of jersey (chest). Team will also be named after the sponsoring company.

__ ENTRANCE OPTION - Payment of $475. 00 will result in sponsoring company’s name on front of jersey (chest). Team will also be named after the sponsoring company.

__ DUAL OPTION - Payment of $775.00 will result in sponsoring company’s name on front of jersey (chest). Team will also be named after the sponsoring company.

Our team appreciates you taking the time to read this. We will gladly accept any of the 3 donation options. If you have any questions, or need to talk:

Name Name
Number
Email

I'm not getting into a bidding war. The first offer I get regardless will be taken.

so why would a company pay 775 vs 300?

To be generous. I'm only asking for $300.00, but I listed all for the tax write off in case they had to supply "documentation"

As an adult team, it's going to be hard to get "sponsorships". Your best bet would probably be to do a raffle for something. At that point see if anyone you know has a business that can offer something that is worth buying a raffle ticket for, your best bet would be a gun. That way you really just need a single sponsor.

I would offer the highest paying Sponsor the name of the te and from the jersey and the jersey sponsor either the back or a sleeve. What is the point of paying 475 for entry when I can pay 300 for jerseys and have my name on the front

There's not much I could offer other than having the company's name on the jersey.

I'm only asking for $300.00, but if they want to be generous and offer $475 or $775, I gave them the option to show it on the document for a tax write off.

I really don't want to get into a bidding war. Once again, I'm only really looking for $300.00. If they want to be generous and offer all of it, I gave them the option of checking it off and having it in document form showing what they offered for a tax write off.

I think the layout is good, but the verbiage sounds a little too much like a bill rather than a donation to me...

I would replace every instance of "payment" with "donation"

I would also give a cheaper option where you would put the company logo on literature to be handed out to the team (maybe schedules, etc.) or something like that....

Can you just offer one option and add a line for "additional donation"? It may be confusing for someone who is reading it without the explanation you provided us.

When I was a partner in a business we had a lot of request for donations, sponsorships, and advertising. We just couldn't give everyone money.

This is what passed all 4 decision makers test.

1. What can your team do for us?
Example small town we were in that supports high school football team
No brainier to get a board on the field.
Shows our commitment to the town

Something that wouldn't fly.
Adult baseball team with 15 people that are single living in apartments.
They don't buy mowers or flowers from our nursery.

Now if I owned a bar/tavern catering to adults I would be possibly be interested.

What would fly for us.
I actually had a church baseball team send me something similar to what I wrote below and I cut them a check for $750 in 1 hour.

"Adult baseball team with 15 people or even 10 people with a strong family ties to the community. Strong support and attendance of friends and family that live in the community."

This is worth sponsoring due to this is the market we want coming in our doors and would spend money with us. Small businesses only have so many dollars and get asked for donations a lot.
