Glad we snuck away with a result tonight. Definitely sets us up well for the 2nd leg

Thoughts about the Cuadrado rumor?

Considering we slept walk through that game 1-1 is a good result. It wasn't pretty though. Pool definitely want this more than us which is understandable.

However, if we're going to put out a strong side and exert that energy we might as well try and win it.

Waste of money. Equalizer today was painful. Cahill backed off and then ran side by side with Sterling until he tried to block the shot (too little, too late). Also, in a big game, I don't think Mou will put Fabregas in the pivot after the Tottenham disaster. Mikel/Matic is not fluid. I'd much rather splash cash on a guy like Pogba or Strootman that are more defensive minded than Fab but still can connect defense and attack. Wouldn't mind another young CB like Varane. Should just start Zouma for now IMO.

Would love for another DLP or CDM to replace Mikel with. He halts any forward progress when its passed to him. Matic seems to do better as the primary CDM rather than sharing with a guy like Mikel.

Wished Zouma would get some more time as well. He looked good in the Newcastle game when not many others were.

Cuadrado seems like a slight upgrade over Willian and would definitely improve the depth of the squad if it forces Salah out. He would be eligible for CL as well. Having said that, I agree the money could be used better elsewhere.

Yeah, I guess I should clarify. Cuadrado is a good player and is definitely a better option than Salah. BUT I would rather invest in other areas of the squad first.

If we bring in Cuadrado, it's because he's replacing Schurrle

Looks like Zouma is starting today in place of Terry and Cech will be in goal.

Also, both Schurrle and Salah expected to be in the team. Maybe a last chance for Salah and Schurrle ( ) to raise their transfer values?

If the rumors about Salah to Roma are true, he won't be playing today.

No Schurrle. Interesting.
ETA:Not even on the bench. That tells me he is gone.

So who are we going to sign? Our squad is already pretty thin we have an anus load of matches coming up and we are going to sell our first two wingers off the bench?

ETA: If we sell Andre and keep Salah I will be majorly disappoint.

As will I. Salah isn't even much younger. Only 18 months. And he's a much more unfinished player.

No idea who we would sign, the only name I've heard is Cuadrado. Mourinho said the other day he doesn't fit, but that could very well be Mourinho-speak.

Schurrle is said to just be ill today.

I rate Schurrle a lot more than Salah but if we get a good fee it might make sense to move him. Jose is a fickle sort and Schurrle just isn't seeing the field.

I'm not sure why he fell so far so fast but he has. Move him, bring in someone else and drive on.

We'll be in for top players in Jan or the summer and we'll have money in the "bank". Plus it'll give Jose more ammunition for his FFP rants against City, PSG et al.
