bought one of these on ebay too, as well as thousands of dollars worth of guitars, other amps, and cabs on ebay.

OP, ebay is a great place to find something at a decent price, but you should know what you want before you start. go to guitar center or zeaglers or c&m and play some things, then try ebay if you can't find what you're looking for.

Craigslist

I've gotten a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster and a MIM Fender Stratocaster (both lightly used) from Craigslist ad, at very good prices.

Really depends on your price range. If you're looking for something under $400, may as well buy new; Guitar Center has a great selection and is competitive on the price. You can sometimes fall into a super deal on PRS, Gibson or Taylor at GC, but timing is everything.

High end stuff you really need to go to ebay. If you go that route, make damn sure the seller has a long and unblemished track record. There's so many Chinese knockoffs on the market, it's easy to get screwed.

What are you looking for?
