These stats are slightly biased due to the fact that Im choosing the best Louisiana recruiting years along with cutting off the sample size at a Louisiana recruit, i.e., putting it as I'm 4 for my last 7 but if you were to go back one at bat I struck out on that 8th at bat, but that's only for the sample size of Louisiana. TX, CA, FL come from the general top 100. These come from ESPN 150.
As of right now there are 317 million people in the US. Florida having 19.5 mil of that population, Texas having 27.2 mil, California having 38.3 mil and Louisiana having 4.5 mil.
CA TX FL LA
Percent pop - 12 8.6 6.2 1.4
Percent in top 100(besides LA) 2014 - 9 13 15 18.5
Compared national avg. 2014 - .75 1.5 2.4 13.2
Percent in top 100(besides LA) 2016 - 11 11 17 12.5
Compared national avg. 2016 - .92 1.3 2.7 8.9
That means that Louisiana is putting out 13 times what an average state produces for 2014 and 9 times what the average state produces in 2016.
