It appears that McDaniel should have hired attorney more familiar with the law to which they hoped to rely.

Mike Wallace, perhaps the most respected attorney in Mississippi on these subjects, takes True the Vote to task on their filing.

Once again, it appears that McDaniel has amateurs working on his behalf and to his dismay. This is a recurring theme.

Qualify the votes. Follow the Law, minus the lawyering (spin). Expose any fraud.

Cochran and the RINOS have cemented what most true Conservatives believed about them. Snout in the trough...reach across the isle...unlimited QE until it crashes...not their fault, it's the Dems.

Insider trading...just a perk for all the pressure they bear.

One things for absolute certain, Thad had political pros on his side. Me, I'll take the less politically inclined every time.

On a semi-related note, the head of the MS DNC has come out and said that they need to be helping McDaniel uncover the fraud perpetrated by Barbour et all and that "(Haley) Barbour is a hog and my mission in life is to catch him, gut him, and use him for lard".

Here is a funny video of the head of the MS DNC... LINK

I have actually had personal dealings with him on a volunteer council in the state. He talks just like Foghorn Leghorn. As you would imagine, he is a hack like the rest of them.

I just spent about 15 minutes reading all the comments on the MSGOP Facebook page... for every Cochran defender you have about 20 disgruntled citizens who say they are done voting GOP and refuse to support Cochran and the MSGOP going forward.

I hope Barbour & Co. thought it was worth it, they literally pissed in the punch bowl here.

Look at the MSGOP Facebook page yourself, its a bloodbath right now of a bunch of people angry at the MSGOP and Republican Party in general.

I think this has been played beautifully by Hyman Roth....Uh, Haley Barbour. Get Thad elected, then Thad retires. Then, Phil Bryant appoints a new Senator... Haley Barbour.

Barbour doesn't want to be Senator, he wants to control the new Senator. There is much more money to be made that way.

What did they do beyond support a guy who won an election? Should they have backed McDaniel just so a vocal bunch of lunatics who believe Facebook comments matter would be quiet?

The McDaniel and Tea Party camp got exposed as amateurs in the runoff and have made a total mockery of the process following it. This is why they can't have nice things and the right in this country continue to step on their collective dick.

If you're using 20-1 as anecdotal support that the establishment is losing influence, the 20 have issues letting go. Everyone else has moved on, or are getting great amusement out of the circus from afar.

Give me a break.

If they won legitimately most of these people would have no issues.

It's not the fact that they won, its HOW THEY WON.

I don't know about you but I would assume most people don't want to be called racists and be the subject of race baiting tactics.

Point ------------> Your Head

I guess according to you, it's OK to win elections by smearing your opponent as a racist KKK member to drum up support from black democrats who won't even vote Republican in the general.

Also this is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

If anyone was an amateur it was the Cochran camp who was going to lose by 8+ points, and then had to resort to race baiting tactics to squeak out a win. McDaniel won Republican voters, how does that mean he is an amateur?

Face it, your head is so far up the arse of the establishment you can't tell night from day. You are probalby OK with the deficit spending, debt ceiling increases, and the dozens of other things wrong with this country, as long as an R is in charge.

This really isn't all that hard. That is known as understanding the landscape and executing what proved to be an effective strategy while his neophyte opponent ran victory laps. One camp acted like it had been there before and the newbies didn't. Now the latter in his naïveté has sabotaged his own political future outside of the free state of Jones.

Ignoring the second paragraph as I would be delighted if the Republican Party was wiped off the map.

"Meridian man dials back vote-buying claim"

Geoff Pender, The Clarion-Ledger 10:36 a.m. CDT July 11, 2014

"Fielder says he was paid for the GotNews interview, but wouldn't say how much or by whom.

Fellow church members at First Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian, including a longtime county Democratic Party official, said they doubted Fielder's story of vote buying, saw no evidence of it, and question his overall veracity."
