This is why spotting out a Southerner anywhere around the world is one of the easiest things to do. They wouldn't let me into some night club in Buenos Aries because I was only wearing a button down polo and khakis.

Depends on the city. Like London lots of places wont let you in with trainers(sneakers)

But in Liverpool they dont care.

But wearing those fancy sneakers they have on is ok

Yea, the perplexing thing was that they let in all these people wearing t-shirts and blue jeans (probably costing more than my entire closet of clothes). I leave for Australia tomorrow, and they seem to be the closest to Southerners I have ran into so far, so I'll see what the reaction is if for some unfortunate reason I try to go into another night club.

Say goodbye to your bank account. 60 bucks for a case of beer. Even Brits complain about how it is.

Most Aussies style is that beach west coast style. Lots of t-shirts at night tank tops in the day.

we tried to go out in manchester one night we were there and we had been out all day and hadn't had a chance to go back to the hotel.

bouncer told us we weren't dressed "smart" enough. i was wearing sambas :(. made friends with dudes in line and they tried to help us convince him "we're from america and our luggage got lost". didn't work.

Manchester nightlife is def upscale.

London upscale but some places you can get in no issues. Like Ministry of Sound ( one the best clubs in the world) Ive rocked nike frees and airmaxes. B.c its all about dj sets.

Liverpool for the most is party town shore city. I wore a v neck, blue jeans and some airmaxes and got into every club and bar with no issues.

Peterborough the city near me has banners saying acceptable footwear

Its bc so many eastern europeans live in the area. Which is cool bc all the pubs/bars stay open as late as the clubs. As in most of england pubs close at 11, bars close 2 or 3 ish. Clubs when ever they feel like.

How that game ended 0-0 I'll never know. We have two of the deadliest strikers in the world who couldn't have hit water on Sunday if they fell off a boat. Just one of those things.

If I had never heard of or seen Falcao before Sunday, I would think he was trash.

He played pretty terribly. Lost possession so many times and almost whiffed on his chances.

He definitely didn't play his best. Not making excuses for him, he was working hard but don't think he was fit enough after returning from injury to go back-to-back in 48 hours. Seemed heavy-legged from the start, and your CBs were making our strikers work so hard by playing a high line and denying direct service. Every time he received the ball he had someone in his back, and he was challenged firmly on every aerial ball. Your CBs were very good in the air. When he found openings, he was off-balance and couldn't sort his feet. I'm at least hoping some of his performance was down to fitness.

Falcao was abysmal yesterday, but he has been very good to excellent in his two prior starts. Enough so that I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. 2 games in a few days is asking a lot of a guy fresh off a year's worth of injuries.

That game yesterday should have been 4 to 1. I'm still shocked that it finished 0-0.
