I think it's probably time for Bebe and Ando to officially hit that old dusty trail as well.

If United were to sign another winger

Would take Di Maria, of course There were strong reports from seemingly respectable journos swirling yesterday but hard to get your hopes up when United have been linked with half of Europe and South America this offseason.

Do we have any chance of getting Vidal?

I think there's a chance. Apparently, he has spoken fondly of the PL and has a desire to play in England. But PSG are interested and it's hard to compete with that oil money. And there's always the chance Juve refuse to sell.

Take this FWIW, but Marca is vaguely reporting that Vidal is headed to United:

Manchester United are just a step away from signing Arturo Vidal. Louis Van Gaal's club would happily pay €40 million to Juventus plus French defender Patrice Evra in order to assure his services.

Vidal's agent, Fernando Felicevich, who also represents Alexis Sánchez, will have taken full advantage of his trip to the UK to tie up any loose ends that there might have been in the deal - not wanting the interest of other big European clubs to get in the way of business.

Vidal's contract with Juve stands until June 2017. On more than one occasion, the club has turned down offers from all over the world for the much-admired midfielder.

Paul Scholes

Not the same thing, but it's amazing how awesome he was, and how well respected he was (as long as he wasn't going in on a tackle against you).

The one thing that is missing now with Rio, Giggs, Scholes, and Vidic gone is that Rooney is the only legend playing on the team now. It really does feel like an entirely new team now.

Not only does he have one of the coolest names of all time, but he was a beast. He was my first real favorite player.

I'm naming all my kids (boy or girl)after him. Well maybe I'll throw in a Scholes or Giggs.

I have to agree with this. Jimmy Floyd sounds like a nice girl's name. Throw in a Scholes if you have a ginger

Manchester United have announced the agreement of a 10-year, 750-million-pound ($1.28 billion) contract with adidas -- the biggest deal in sports-licensing history.

The news will be a welcome boost for the Old Trafford club whose performances on the pitch last season were hugely disappointing but they can now look forward to fresh investment with the new contract doubling the income from previous kit suppliers Nike.

The announcement comes a day after the German firm, a FIFA World Cup sponsor, provided the kits for Germany and Argentina in the 2014 World Cup final.

A club statement on Monday read: "Manchester United plc has reached a 10-year agreement with adidas for a global technical sponsorship and dual branded licensing deal for a minimum guarantee of £750m, subject to certain adjustments, beginning with the 2015/2016 campaign."

Sportswear giants Nike announced on July 9 they had decided not to continue their relationship with United, claiming the Premier League side were demanding too much money.

again, i would seriously doubt that it's financially worth it for Nike to pay that obscene sum annually. if it was, they'd have paid it (to ManU and Arsenal tbh). would love to see some sort of financial breakdown on how much money those companies make. especially kit sponsorships. you'll never convince me they're worth that scrilla

you guys going to go after cavani if PSG makes him available? i see those rumors but that doesn't make a lick of sense.

I love how some of the headlines on the Nike negotiations were positioned as if Nike "dropped" United. Sounds like United had been in talks with Adidas, and Adidas just priced Nike out of the market.

A lot of it is just paid advertising as well. United sell a shitton of jerseys. Even if Adidas don't make the money back on jersey sales (which in this case they prob won't), they are paying the premium to get their logo on the jersey, same as the actual kit sponsors.
