I know it was never expensive but I just picked up a 6 pack of tallboys for $3.75.

Last I remember it was like $6.50 for a six pack.

You're better off with Natural Light, but that is cheap. Be sure it's not expired !

I remember when I first started drinking in high school I thought Rolling Rock was a rare premium beer. I will sometimes get them at Ms Mae's for $1.50

Oddly enough, and I'm not trolling here, when Tim Russert died.

Just picked up an 18 pack for $10.19 at Thrifty- It's my favorite crawfish boil beer, and I'll keep some around the house for a quick beer on a hot day.

Years ago I was transferred to Pittsburgh and RR became my beer of choice. At that time it only came in little green pony bottles and like all beer not bottled in dark amber it was subject to getting skunky if exposed to sunlight. I came into work one Monday morning and complained about a case of bad beer that I had gotten over the weekend. To my surprise one of my co-workers turned out to be the son-in-law of the family that owned the brewery and he and his wife spent almost every weekend in Latrobe. From that point on I got a case of RR straight from the brewery every week. Not a big beer drinker these days but when I do buy beer it's always RR.

Used to buy a case at AM Mart (Lee and Nicholson) for 8 and change in the late 80's early 90's.

You are right. Around here, it has always been reasonably priced, in line with BMC.

But in the last couple months I have seen it much cheaper than usual. And the tall boy cans have started showing up for the first time.

I think the new owner is shooting for a new market slot. Fine with me. I drink a lot of it in the summer.

When I was at LSU in the late 90s I could get a case of rolling rock bottles for $9.99 at the store on Nicholson.
