Just got a new email from Obama on Min Wage

They want me to sign the petition to increase it.
The big quote:
"Increasing the minimum wage would result in a $22 billion increase in economic activity, and lift nearly a million Americans out of poverty."
They do not explain how that happens. Anybody got a source to that economic theory?

Why stop at min wage workers? According to his "logic", government could just arbitrarily set everyone's wages ~20% higher and the economy would boom.
